EAST 9TH IS ENDING VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN...
...BY PAINTING THEIR NAILS

The owners of East 9th Brewing - Josh Lefers, Stephen Wools and Benjamin Cairns - are painting their fingernails blue until the end of October to increase awareness for the Polished Man campaign. The campaign seeks to draw attention to the horrifying reality that one child every five minutes dies as a result of violence, symbolised by the single painted fingernail.

East 9th has also exchanged its Doss Blockos pale lager's standard brown paper packaging for a purple Polished Man branded bag. They aim to raise $50,000 for the campaign. Their Polished Man bags will be available across the country in bars, clubs, restaurants and retailers. It's a big job for them, but the important issue of violence against children calls for serious action.

East 9th, along with others like Grill'd and Bank Australia are making their contribution to the breadth of influential people raising awareness and money together as a community to serve this cause. In addition to their sponsored packaging, the brewery also offers a trip to New York City for Polished Men or Women to join the Doss Blockos team for their wrap up party in North America.
