Having a responsive website is no longer an option...
...well, at least according to Google it's not!
Google recently changed their rating structure when it comes to search results of non-responsive websites. How it works?
- The Googlebot that crawls through your website when picking up keywords must be allowed to crawl CSS & Javascript to pass the "mobile friendly" test
- Mobile friendliness is determined at the page level, not site-wide
- Google is currently working on a dedicated mobile index
What does that mean for you and your website?
If your website is not responsive, you could potentially fall off the Google ranks. Your website would be incredibly hard, if not impossible, to find through search engines.

You might wonder "What does responsive do for me?"
Responsive websites are highly flexible
They work on all devices: desktops, mobile phones, and tablets
This allows your site to automatically modify its navigation menus and pages to adjust to different resolutions.
This will represent a better return on your website investment, since most responsive sites require little future maintenance to comply with new browsers and updates.
But don't forget! You will still need to constantly work on your SEO's (Google keywords)
Everyone is on their phone, all the time and everywhere. If your website is not mobile-friendly, you can be assured users will simply not visit. And that is just a missed opportunity.
